Hey all.. I am looking for the name of a series that was broadcast on RTE a while back that I can't remember the name of or find.. It had episodes documenting the Irish roots of bands like The Smiths and Oasis and had a short name, possibly starting with G but I can't be sure. Can anyone help me find it?

Pretty sure you're thinking of a TG4 series called Guth. It profiled 6 musicians/bands from different eras with Irish roots - Bing Crosby, Dusty Springfield, John Lennon, Johnny Rotten, The Smiths and Oasis.

Does anyone know if there is anyway to watch this series again? I would like to rewatch some of the episodes but I can't find them anywhere.

In a similar vein does anyone remember a music video show from about 1987 that used to go out at about 11pm on a Thursday night on RTE ?

It was a sort of a successor to MT USA but with less "Top 40" and more "alternative/classic rock" type videos and was only about an hour long, I don't think it had a presenter either.

The first video played on it was "The whole of the moon"
