    Hi,

I'm looking for a bit of advice for the kitchen and sitting room area below:

The kitchen is going to be tiled and the sitting room is going to have timber flooring. I currently have a curved design to separate the tiling and timber flooring, anyone have other ideas or examples?

The kitchen layout won't have any rounded corners and same with the sitting room layout.

    Thanks

    Bob

    Hi!
I think the curved design will give you some problems in the instalation because you need to cut perfectly the tiles and the wood.
In my opinion, for separate the tiles and the wood make a straight line continuing with the wall on the right. I cannot post pictures with example, sorry.
Maybe, will be better if you have the kitchen and living room distribution first and then, think how to put the floor because if you have an island kitchen you can finish the tiles there or something like this.
This is my opinion and I told you from my experience.

    Thanks for your input. :)

We are currently getting our kitchen designed and have a layout for the sitting room. Yeah all the island will be on the tiles so I think alot will depend on the kitchen design, should have the first draft of it next week.

I think you need to wait until the final draft. When you have it, then you can start thinking about the floor. Will be easier. When you have the draft, post it :)
