This post is primarily aimed at the RGIs who swap out boilers day to day. If you happen to come across the above, I'd gladly purchase the outer casing. PM please, if anybody has one lying around! There are quite a few models nf30, 40, 50 etc in the range, and the part in question is used on more than one model; I'm looking for the one with the screws top and bottom. Cheers.

Dodzy, there's a sticky thread for this in the Rgi forum

Risking wrath here Dtp but I'm not RGi so no access to said forum :o

The neighbour got her boiler serviced last week and the RGi showed her the issue with the casing ( rotten on top corner due to historical leak which has since been repaired ). He advised searching for 2nd hand unit and he will refit free (he's a friend of her family). Failing that, she will need to invest in new boiler. He maintained that although far from efficient, it'll still kick on for probably years to come so I told her I'd try chase one down for her now while the boiler is not in use - before the weather turns cold again.
