    Hey all

    Looking for some advice.

We were going to have a staycation but at the last minute we're come up with the idea of getting a ferry to France and booking into one of the campsites in France for about 10-12 days (first 2 weeks in September). Can anyone suggest a good spot for a 20 month old? I would like to hear of suggestions of campsites that cater well for toddlers this age.

This would be our first camping holiday in France. Is weather generally OK in northern France in early September?

Apart from activities for my son. It would be a bonus if there was a restaurant onsite, walks etc.

    Thanks in advance.

Stayed in Benodet, Brittany last year, La Pointe St Gilles. My boy was 18 months old, loved it, splash pool, pool play area for his age, lazy river. Playground, kids club for his age, you go along and there was soft play toys, sand pit etc. Then a lovely sea front walk to Benodet, nice little town. There was a casual pizza place and a restaurant on site. Weatherwise not sure sorry!

Just be sure you check with the campsite that certain activities or 'animations' are only on from July to August during peak season, like kids clubs etc...

I also stayed in Pointe St Gilles when we had toddlers and its a great campsite.

Its true that a lot of the kids clubs wont run in September, but you are unlikely to be using them with a 20 month old.

The weather in Brittany is hit and miss in September. It's likely to be warm (17-18) and mostly dry if you are lucky but it might be cool and wet.
