Hey lads, I'm starting the accounting technicians Ireland course in September. I have no experience in the area but I believe with some commitment I can manage it. I have spoken to my employer and he has offered to help me any way possible. My question is, when is a suitable time to begin my work experience? Soon as the course starts or a few months later?

Start as soon as possible. The more experience you have the better.

Exams are important but most future employers will value the experience as more beneficial than the qualification (the piece of paper is very important but only when it is accompanied by real world experience).
