Ridding attic of clothes moths

Hi folks, we've found that we have a fairly large infestation of webbing clothes moths in our attic, and they're escaping occasionally into the rest of the house. Has anyone had similar and managed to bring it under control? We've a typical Irish attic i.e. no floorboards, I'm not sure whether they might be feeding off the insulation, house about 20 years old. We don't have much wool around the house and I'm guessing the carpets are synthetic - but I still don't want them finding somewhere to establish themselves downstairs. I've no issue with using chemicals.

Here's the plan of attack I have:
    1. Insectrol or plain old RAID sprayed every few days
    2. Pheromone trap in the attic and 1 downstairs (I put one up there already, and it filled up almost within a week) - none of the big stores seem to sell these for some reason, had to get it on Amazon
    3. Going to go through the attic and remove any woolen stuff/bits of old carpet etc.
    4. Hanging transfluthrin strips in wardrobes to try and repel them

Should I be looking at fogging/fuming the attic or spraying liquid insecticide? How do you realistically dust/vacuum an attic? Is there any aerosol/slow release yoke that would spray insecticide at regular intervals?

Hi Hmmm - how is this going - I have Moths in our house in the bedrooms I notice there are more and more every year during the hot summer months.
Is Insectrol ok to spray in Ward robes and the likes? Would it work in the Autumn/Winter to kill off Moth Eggs?

I've just spotted that Aldi are selling moth killer and freshener hanging units/sachets again which worked for me in bedrooms (sachets in wardrobes, drawers & under beds.I hung KritterKill Pheromone traps in the hall as well as bedrooms and after a year we now rarely see a moth as it takes a while to kill them off as their life cycle can slow down if temps drop and so on but it can be done.

Thanks Cat - I'm going to get some of those from Amazon - Is there any point to placing them around the house this time of the year? Or will it help kill off the Larve?

Regarding Aldi's moths killer I'd stick them around the house now as they last 3 months,it kills moths, eggs, larvae & is easy on the pocket :) Kitterkill costs a bit more & only works on adult moths so you can hold off buying it if you want.
