Pain in back of leg

I got a road bike about 6 weeks ago and have been going out 2 or 3 times a week. After a 65k cycle about 4 weeks ago I developed a pain in the back of my right leg just slightly under the kneecap and more towards the right side if that makes sense. It seems to be ok the following day and I only ever get the pain when cycling. About a week after that particular cycle I had a proper bike fitting and the guy who did it for me reckoned I had just overdone it, not being paticularly used to cycling that kind of distance. I laid off cycling for about 10 days to see did that cure it, but it hasn't. I also thought that maybe the bike hadn't been set up properly initially and the bike fitting might solve it. It hasn't.

I'm wondering if it might be something to do with the way the cleats are lined up or something?

Anyone experienced something like this or could offer any advice or things I could do?

Go back to your bike fitter or find a new one. Your saddle could be too high/too far back behind the cranks or your cleat set-up is crap! And at the risk of getting slapped by a mod, go see a physio cause that pain in the back of your knee is usually biceps femoris tendinopathy (tendinitis basically).

Mod Note: can't give medical advice on here I'm afraid. We can only recommend you see a health professional and get well soon!
