Music Question

Hi all, I'm staying in Galway next week at the g star hotel.
I'm just wondering is it close to any good music pubs?
Also any shops that sell vinyl records?
I'm not a fan of trad music or any mainstream acts from today.
My tastes would be mostly alternative with regards to today's music but I love all stuff from 50s on, with 60s music being a passion.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

You'll get Vinyl in Zhivago on Shop Street or the Bell Book and Candle on Sea Road.

In short, no. Not close. But there are some in town, get a bus (or a taxi if you're real g-ites) into the city.

Bell Book And Candle down the west end is a lovely shop to while away some time. 2nd hand books and vinyl. Well recommended. There's also HMV in Edward Square. At least I think it's still there! Some vinyl there too. Plus, don't forget regular charity shops, the odd gem can be found and there is quite a few of these shops around Galway City.
