Coupling earth rods off 2 mains fencers

    I have an existing mains electric fence with 4 earth rods off it which fences the main farm but is earthed a lot and the power is poor to be honest.

    I want to add a new mains fence (for land that is in a different direction and want to keep it separate as it includes around the house also and I want to ensure that it is always strong)

    Question is, can I use the one earth wire off for the 2 fencers without taking power off both or would I be better off using separate earth rods altogether?

    Asked man that repairs/makes fencers same question in spring. His answer was no. Use seperate earthing for each

    I was running a fence along the edge of a trench, half full with water recently. Used a short piece of the high tensile wire and ran it into the water and up the side of a post. Used this as the earth for the fencer. Huge difference.

    Can you run both power outputs off the one earth rod in fencers with two power outputs?

    Just on earthing, a little article on correct placement of earth bars.
