Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Who the fliuch has/d the responsibility for putting these on the internet?
Twice this month I've had to source a location and twice it's brought me to the wrong location. Why do businesses not input their own L/L? C.....!

Not sure what your problem is ... if a business puts it's coords on the Internet then it's obviously the business themselves who put them there, nobody else. If you're reading them off Google Maps and inputting them to your satnav then it may well be a format problem. There are 3 different ways of writing them ...

    ddd.ddddd (decimal degrees)
ddd mm.mmm (degrees + decimal minutes)
ddd mm ss.s (degrees + minutes + decimal seconds)

Garmin satnavs can use any one of these, but Google always gives them in decimal degrees, but with 6 places after the decimal point, so truncate to 5 or round up/down whatever you prefer. You can specify what format you want to use on the satnav in the settings menu when you're inputting the coords.

The other snag is that there are also two ways to indicate N/S or E/W, either using the letters themselves (which is what Garmin use) or +/-, with + for N, - for S, + for E and - for W. For Ireland it's always going to be N or + for latitude and W or - for longitude.
