Last week the HSE said they would be recruiting 500 new nurses. These were not advertised on the HSE website. Only 5 fulltime permanent jobs in Dublin are advertised on the HSE website and they are all either management or specialist roles.

Meanwhile, CPL is advertising "Nurses – Make the Move to Dublin, Ireland" These jobs are full-time permanent positions with Support with the registration of a valid work permit / work authorisation.

HSE didn't even advertise those nursing jobs on their website- while CPL is offering permanent fulltime nursing positions and help getting a work visa. Clearly, CPL is is aiming to hire non-EU nurses as its offering help with work visas.

CPL are well known for harvesting CV's, they advertise non-existent jobs.

My sister (a nurse) couldn't get a nursing job in an Irish hospital. I think its disgraceful the way the HSE won't even advertise in Ireland. (there are only 5 permanent full time jobs advertised on their websites for the whole of Dublin and they are mostly management roles)

When they employ foreign nurses are they allowed pay them at the same rates they would get in their own countries or do they have to pay them the same rates as Irish nurses?

They get paid the same rates as Irish nurses.

They need to reintroduce the nurses hat and the white costume with a skirt.

She's had a close escape. Lots better places to be working as a nurse than Ireland. If she was foolhardy enough to want to work in Ireland, signing up with the agencies will get her work here, and eventually the fun palace that is the HSE and it's hospitals.
