graduate wages am I being ripped off ?

    Hi there I got a job offer on the table But it's very low (18k) now I'm a graduate with an honors bachelor of science (2:1) just this year am I being under paid ?

    Definitely underpaid. Science grad, you should be 22-24k.

    I am an engineering grad and i am on 24.5k base wage, and thats a low wage, i only took it cause the bonus and perks of the job make it competitive. Plus interesting projects in comparison to some companies.

    However that being said, getting the first few years experience is key, move on somewhere else if you get a formal offer, but stay put for the moment for the experience and try and get involved in as much as possible.

    That's what's going through my head alright experience is key

    I'm also trying to hold out for word back on an interview that I did last week where the managing director called me in for interview at short notice before they actually advertised the job !, the job itself is right up my ally in the IT side of things

    Update !

    Just got offered a better job with better pay 25k today and I don't have to move :)
