The Republic's Dissident Youth: Ireland's Young Warriors

So do we reckon this army of a half a dozen 12 year olds will be able free Northern Ireland from the Brits or will their restrictive bedtimes prevent them from bringing longterm freedom to the North?

The Vice is very reputable journalistic media source but this comes off as an Onion produced documentary with 12 years running around a forest with hurleys pretending to be fighting the British army. But this all seems extremely sad brainwashing of kids. Its one thing to teach these kids our history and have them hold i guess republican views of Ireland but its another thing to teach these kids militarization is the only way to achieve their goals.

They make Young Fine Gael seem normal.

    Almost.

The comments under that are the worst, most uniformed cringeworthy pile of pish I've ever seen on any Youtube video, and I including everything connected with Justin Bieber and zombie apocalypses in this judgement.

The Vice is not reputable never mind "very reputable". Interviews with "real life vampires", lions loose in Milwaukee, Extra terrestrials............

Same crap happens in Britain except over there it's the state brainwashing gullible kids into joining their wars in the Middle East.

    Totally wrong on both sides.

Indeed ... The British government for years has been dragooning children into chasing around the moors with hockey sticks.

I don't know how credible they are anymore, they seem to love to sensationalise as much as anyone.

I watched one of their pieces that took place in Poland and they were making out Polish were afraid the Russians are about to invade their country. It was daft. She went out to a bunch of lads playing airsoft (like a more serious version of paintball) and said these were a militia training for Russian invasion. It was a complete bunkum piece and she was clearly just annoying people with ridiculous questions.

    A wise choice.

Think: 'Red Dawn' meets the skobiest scout troop in Ireland.

I don't doubt you about the piece but there are a few Poles I've spoken to on other forums (they still live there) hyper about the prospect of a Russian invasion.

I'm sure there are but this was all a bit much. Here's the video you can make up your own mind. I think it's very OTT.

Given the obesity in children thread, this sounds like an excellent idea for over here too!

Interesting specimens in the video for all the wrong reasons. Brainwashed.

Were they ever that credible? Thought they always just went with being the Louis Theroux of news websites (but with less empathy)
I'd rather watch something like Unreported World (one of the few decent shows Channel 4 still make) for some reason I've always disliked Vice, its all so Sugar-Ape

There are a few decent articles and documentarie on Vice. They do sensationalise things to the hilt though. It's a bit like the Daily Mail, only with more interesting stories. A guilty pleasure nonetheless.

Vice articles are full of misinformation, mistakes and outright lies, it's hacks are worse than the mongoloids that write for the Sindo.

Vice is not a news channel.

Most of the reports I've seen on it appear to have been made by bunch of hipster twats who like pretending to be journalists without having to get bogged down in all that research stuff that real journalists have to do.
