Baggage Storage in Thailand

    Hi guys,

    Headin to Oz with my GF next month via 3 weeks in thailand. flying to bangkok and then travelling around thailand and then from bangkok to melbourne.....have 2 questions.....

    We are planning on leaving 1 bag in bkk airport for 3 weeks. seems that there is no storage lockers and the left luggage counter is where you leave it.... is it safe there and has anyone used it before??? are we better leaving it in a hotel in bangkok....they might do it if we emailed them. any other suggestions???

    Also we arent doing the whole backpacking thing, staying in hotels for 3/4 nihts at a time....but would a bacpack be handier or would a suitcase be fine???

    The left luggage in Bangkok airport is safe but expensive (it used to be dodgy but security comes at a price). It's 100 baht per day so it'll cost you for 3 weeks. Also, they won't keep valuables, computers etc so it's really only suitable for leaving clothes.

    A lot of hotels will keep a bag for you but safety will vary obviously.

    There are a few options if you google self storage in Bangkok but I've never used any of them and they all get mixed reviews.
