Did anybody go to this show, I could not make it and so far have heard nothing about it on boards or in the media.

    I was at it yesterday.

Good show and well organised with shuttle buses from one part of the Port area to the main viewing area at the Village.

I should have pictures up later tonight and will post a link to it. The crowds weren't as busy as I thought they would be, I suspect the changeable weather out many off.

Also Rescue 115 was called away during the demo to an incident near Loop Head.

    The Wanderer.

Crowds are very hard to judge, I never would have put a figure of 40000+ looking at the Shannon show crowd.

Good Air show though, very well organised for what showed up, 1 plane would finish and the next would appear, no long delays like Shannon.

But alot didn't show, no Ravens, no Sukhoi, no yakovlevs, no Aerdynamics and no reason given for no shows.

The search and rescue demo was crap, a rib went out in the water a few times and brought people from the water in.

The Samuel Beckett didn't do anything, some fella lit a few Flair's standing on the deck?

The highlight would have been the heli whinching but it was called away, just as it was about to do it. Pity. Same happened at Shannon.

Near hour long wait for the air show after the demo.

Good sound at it, Hunter sounded well.

It was a good day though. I'd go again.

In fairness the highlights of the Coastguard display would have been Rescue 115 and that was called away. Luck of the draw.

I did notice some aircraft didn't show up + of course our thoughts with Howard Cox's family on his death the night before.

Plus the low cloud base did limit what the aircraft could do, which was a shame.

Finally finished uploading my photos. Click https://thewandererphotos.smugmug.com/FeaturedGallery/Foynes-Air-Show-2015/ to view.

At 0:37 there's a fuel tanker right beside the runway with aircraft taking off just feet away. How did anyone, pilot or otherwise, think this was a good idea?
