Just wondering has anyone bought or seen much good quality sheep hay made this year?

There was a hay/straw merchant selling hay outside Ballina mart this week but was looking for €3.25 a small square bale!...and tbh it wasn't that hectic of stuff.
    Thanks for any replies.

    Surely its incredibly location dependant.

I see Reggie made hay last week in Westmeath, and we haven't had 2 consecutive dry days in a month down here in Cork.

Having said that - we had great hay weather in June, and lad here that always makes small squares got a good made then.
    €3 / bale delivered I think.

Yea a good few around here have meadows destined for hay if the weather ever comes. Not looking like ut at the moment. Good but if hat was baked up too early here in June. Never got more than 3 good days together.
