Car Import

So a lot of people are going to ask me if I'm crazy for this and I might be..

Basically I live in the UAE and I'm moving home at the end of the year to Ireland. I have a Dodge Charger that I want to bring back with me. It is a LHD car which I don't have a problem with driving in Ireland. I know it will be very expensive to run but it will not be my primary car. I own the car outright and the second hand car market in the UAE is terrible at the moment.

So I've basically talked myself into bringing it home with me. My question is has anyone here imported a GCC Spec car into Ireland?

Who are the best for insurance point of view on a performance/muscle car like this in Ireland?

    How old is the car?

It is a 2013 Dodge Charger Road and Track.

Your main problem is with the motor tax on it, with the V8 engine I would think that it's going to be the highest band of €2350 a year, this will make it very difficult to sell.

Yeah I'm not intending on selling the car for a long time.. It is prefect condition but unless you are selling a Toyota here in the UAE there is no point.

I also really want to hold onto it..
