    Not sure if anyone has much experience with Campy servicing here but I lost my big ring on 11sp Athena today. When I shift into the big ring the derailleur moves over but there's no click and it won't stay aligned with the big chainring. Does anyone know is it an easy fix, or if not can anyone recommend someplace I could get it serviced and avoid having to buy a new shifter.

    How old is the left lever?

    Nah, the chain is going on to the ring when i move the lever, but there's no audible click that you usually hear when you move gears. It's definitely the lever

    less than 1 year and it's my good bike so I don't commute on it - maybe 1500km on it. bit early to be playing up.

    Sounds like index ring gone! Warranty?
    Also ...
    If you need a quick fix any left hand ergo shifter body 10/11 will work and you can transfer the Athena blade onto it - easy to do
    Pretty sure I have one here if you need it whilst working out warranty stuff

    Sounds like the 'toothed ring' for holding the cable/shifter in place is broken.
    The part is not available to buy seperatley afaik so you have to buy the whole body and switch the blade/hood over.

    As mentioned above if bought from new I would get in contact with the shop where you got it or keep an aeye on ebay for a single shifter.

    Cheers folks, it's a Canyon so I may drop them a line tomorrow and see what the story is. I'll start scanning ebay & adverts as well.

    If you get no joy with a warranty I need a right hand lever (rear) mech if you wanted to split the price. I am watching a set on ebay.

    Something similar happened to me last year on a long spin, albeit on a low end xenon shifter. Cable had worn inside the shifter and a bit of frayed strand was blocking the mechanism from working properly. Could be worth replacing the cable (inner and outer), and checking the shifter works without actually connecting it to the front derailleur. If you pull the cable slightly with your hand to put it under tension and try using the lever to shift up and down, it will tell you whether it is a lever or front mech issue. Could be something as simple as crud in one of the inners.

    For just the left or for both? I think their new price on Wiggle is €140 the pair

    A possible explanation is that the G spring in the shifter mechanism has failed. I assume that the mechanisms are similar to Chorus. If so repairs are simple enough.
    This link illustrates the process on a similar shifter;
