So my father didn't speak to his parents for 25 years till they died over "The land".
The uncle on my mothers side didn't speak to his mother before she died and 20 years later still doesn't speak to his brother, again over "The land".

So tell me about your family feuds.

Haven't spoken to my mother in 12 years apart from the extremely awkward encounters at my niece/ nephews events. Have three children that she asks others who is who and how old they are.

Have contact with my father but it is only recent and very limited.
Would love to have a good, close relationship but it's not to be. Will make sure this never happens with my own children

Charlize Theron's father was threatening her and her mother when she was 15 and so the mother shot him dead.

She has issues and we were never really that close. Often called me names, said my face was very ugly/ unappealing because I had bad skin. She loved shopping and I dont. Accused my now husband of being aggressive and abusive on our wedding day and refused to visit my new home for 3 months after we moved in despite me repeatedly asking. I think she has issues with men partly because of the way she treats my father.

I'm Stephen Hawking. Technically I haven't spoken to my friends or family with over 30 years.

I havnt spoken to my brother in 2 years. Sometimes I miss him, then he opens his mouth and I breath a sigh of relief. Such a lazy chap, no job, sun shines out of his hole, still at home and dosnt do so much as cut the grass around the place, my 50yr old mother does that. My siblings all know what hes like. Life of Reilly really.

Stick a few solar panels in his bedroom and hook them up to the central heating and maybe an outside solar storage generator.

I mean, if he's not willing to pay his way, you might as well make some money from that sun shining out of his arse.

Technically you have. Non-technically you haven't.

I don't speak to my relatives on my father's side. But at the reception of my mother's funeral, my uncle suggests that we "keep in touch".

I was receptive toward his appeal, because I'm well brought up and more than willing to let bygones be bygones. He whips out his phone and asks me to give him my phone number. He wants to ring it and hang up so I'll have a missed call, and then I can simply save his number.

Anywho, he rings the number, before turning away ever so slightly and cancelling the call immediately after pressing the call button. You know what this means, right? This is a very scumbag thing to do anyway, but isn't it extra low to do it directly after your mother's funeral?

I...don't. Would it not go through or something because he hung up too quickly? I mean, it wouldn't leave his number? Or am I missing something obvious?

You know that saying you can choose your friends but not your family? That was made for my family. We make the Adams family look good.

My mums Aunt had a child out of wedlock in 1916. But no one alive today knows what happened to the child because 'it was not spoken about' ever!

So ok, it's early and I've had a v short night, but I still don't get it? He's got your number but you haven't got his, is that it? So what? You could block him, if you're afraid of getting unwanted calls or something. And I don't see what a funeral has to do with anything in that case. Or is it something else?

I'm sorry but this is just f*ckimg annoying. You "de-weed" their grave? De-weed is it? Is that the new thing now? and all these years when people say they must weed the garden, them b*stards were planting them? Well f*ck me with a barrell of spicy cocktail sausages on the stick.

I haven't spoken to my 'father' since I was about 7. 23 years and counting. I have absolutely zero interest in ever changing that either.

He purposely didn't let the call connect to prevent his number from showing up on my phone....

@Hammer89 - just pouring oil on the troubled water, here - maybe he just meant to let it ring a couple of times so you got the number, but cancelled because he didn't intend to have a conversation by phone right there.

He may have just stopped it too soon to connect - not maliciously - it can take about 4 rings to get through.

I don't think you appreciate what I'm saying. I'm saying he pressed the green button, and a fraction of a second later he pressed the red one.

My grandad doesn't speak to his brother. He hasn't in iver 55 years.

My great uncle was with a girl who's friends robbed my grandmother. She was beaten pretty bad and was pregnant at the time.

My grandad got even with the friends and his brother took his girlfriends side. He doesn't attend family events because people invite my grandad and he knows better then to show his face around him.

Its not about hammer89 blocking him . He's saying that yer man gave the impression he wanted to stay in touch and went through motions of exchanging numbers to appear to be the nice guy..... yet cancelled the call before hammer89's phone could log his number ....
