judgement attached to my deeds

Took out a personal loan to finish of my house in 2006 and in 2010 wasn't in a position to pay it after being left with 14k to pay, fell into depression for a few years and buried my head in the sand with my debts. Bank took me to court and had a deal to pay 50 euro a week until debt was paid but a judgement was attached to my house.

I've been told if I can get my hands on half of what I owe, I can phone up the recover agent or bank, make a deal with them and they will usually accept this to clear my debt. I'm wanting to know is this possible and if so, how do I go about getting the judgement removed from my deeds. Also what kind of figers would a solicitor charge me for this purpose.

Phone a solicitor and ask. You won't be able to get legal advice here.

Banks will do deals. There is no guarantee they will do one for anything near 50%.

How common is it to get a 50% deal with this amount.

Sorry to hear about this OP. However, legal advice is not allowed here. I think that you need a financial adviser and a solicitor.
