I have a wedding coming up, and have an aqua full length dress to wear. What colour shawl, shoes etc would you put with it, nothing seems to look right to me. TIA

Edited to add link to dress.

Dress is very out of my comfort zone colour wise.

Silver or raspberry pink would be my choice :)

+1 to the pink! That was my first thought when I looked at the dress. It's really pretty btw! Good choice!

I think pink my look a bit too much with this dress, I would go with silver or pewter sandals and very few accessories, maybe diamanté ( or diamond! ) earrings and delicate silver bracelet.

Pink is the first colour that first came into my head.

Pink came to my mind too, a nice darkish pink like raspberry or a shade darker than fuschia.

I'd probably do pink for the bag/shoes and silver for jewelry.

I think keep the accessories simple, there's a lot going on with the dress I normally love a pop of colour in a shoe, but I think in this case silver would be the classier choice.

Does anyone think the colour is too bright? Having a wobble. I'd usually go for darker colours.

    Nope, the colour is beautiful!

My opinion - two fairly definitive colours like pink AND aqua, together, may well be outside a lot of comfort zones: it would be a very youthful and confident mixture (again, just my opinion)

I would definitely go with silver, grey, or a fairly neutral metallic, possibly even copper: (was my first thought, and I see a number of others jumped the same way!)

Seriously though, it is a gorgeous dress: classically lovely. Pick what you feel happy in, and enjoy the wedding!

Thanks all. I am young (28) but I definitely haven't the confidence for both pink and aqua although I'd say itd be gorgeous on someone else. I've just lost weight and this is the first time I've ventured away from the darker colours. I will go for silver with minimal accessories. Wedding is tomorrow and I was up half the night worrying about the colour of the dress! I'm getting ready with friends so I'll bring both dresses and let them talk me in/out of the aqua :)

    Hi OP,
Just to reasure you on the colour,
I work in a clothing shop and Aqua was one of our best selling colours this season. Everyone loves it although not everyone has the guts to wear it, its so lovely on Irish skin tones, you will look fab in it. I bet you will get a load of compliments.
Wear it for sure, its lovely.
