Very dull music experience in those cars unless you paid for HIFI/TOP HIFI, which is not even worth it, even though they are better than the standard stereo system, they are still very poor.

Anyway, here is the car. Standard F10. Stereo option (No tweeters, no amplifier from factory)

    The kits

Speakers : Gladen 201 kit - Gladen MC 100 for the rear shelf.
Amplifiers : Mosconi 120.4 DSP (4 channels, class AB, Digital Sound Processing built-in) and a Gladen RC 90 C 2 channels to power up the under seat woofers.

Replacing the mid range speakers in the front door cards.

    2.jpg

    Trims from the trunk removed.

    3.jpg

Front seats removed in order to install new woofers.

    4.jpg

New fuse block 1 way in, 2 ways out to keep things tidy.

    5.jpg

Replacing rear speakers with Gladen MC 100

    6.jpg

Running the new 4 channels radio loom all the way to the trunk to get the audio signal from the radio unit.

    7.jpg

Wires, wires...and a custom cut wood panel to secure the amplifiers.

    8.jpg

    Testing fitment, all good

    9.jpg

Installing the new fuse block securely. Almost can't tell it is not factory original.

    12.jpg

Small 2 channels Gladen RC 95.

    13.jpg

Amps fully installed and secured with forced cooling.

    14.jpg

USB plug for adjusting the Mosconi DSP settings if needs be without having to remove anything.

Have to agree, seems to be a bit of a let down on a lot of BMW range. Only had the conversation with a pal last week who was praising the sound in his recently acquired A8, having come from a couple of X5's with upgrade sound. I have E65 with standard sound and it is a bit of a let down. Enjoy.

What is the cost for a install like this?

Thinking of maybe doing something like this for my F11 touring.
