My father has asked to upload 300+ old photos to his facebook account. These photos range from the 40's up to the early 90's

What would be the best way to upload these photos so they are clear as possible ? We have a scanner but it's 10+ years old and not the best. I have an iPhone 4s, would taking photos of the photos be the best thing ?

    Thanks

Scan one and try it. Scanning is the way to go as taking photos of photos rarely works well.
