I thought I was buying an Eleaf iStick turns out it's an Ovale istick, never heard of them, does anyone know if there's a difference or issues with them?

Is that the one that goes to 23w? A mate was showing me one the other day. Looked like an alright bit of kit but an absolute piss take for vendors to be selling without explaining it's not the istick people are recommending all over the net. Seemed to be a touch bigger than my 30w, just a tiny touch though.

It's the 50w, it's a dead ringer for the Eleaf, I'm just hoping it's as reliable, thought it was a bit sneaky, not very impressed

From what I can see that looks like just a rebrand rather than a clone. Totally Wicked do that too, a shop in Bray had an "exclusive" of the "TECC iStick" which is just an istick with TECC written where you'd find eleaf on the other. It should be fine, I reckon.

Thanks for having a look, ye I'm thinking of just going with it, I'll try anything once, can't find anything that says there have been major problems or anything so I'll take the chance, just threw me there!

    Have a read of this:

    http://blog.e-cigexpress.com/2013/02/joyetech-they-arent-e-cigarette.html?m=1

This guy is saying that Ovale are the actual designers of Joyetech products and Joyetech just manufacture and put their own label on them. He's a bit intense! Also not sure if it's entirely factual but it's kind of interesting.

Haha yeah! Must admit, I wasn't particularly embarrassed by the thought of calling something a "fake joyetech" but he really thinks we should be!

I'd hate to see what he'd make of my Eleaf/ovale mix up

Back when I was buying my first e-vic in the old ecirette store they had the Joyetech and the Ovale versions.
The Ovale was identical but €20 more expensive.
    I bought the Joyetech.

That fact the Ovale was dearer does point to the Joye being the 'knockoff' but sure as we know, it seems most things these days are manufactured in the same plants in the same part of China, with the final table being a guy applying different stickers!

Hi, my frends she bought a feew years back clone of Joyetech eGo brand Ovale....
Looks exactly like joyetech but was always issue with base, coils....
Now they make clones of iStick`s

For me is just another company made clones of genuine products on they name/brand with similar prices to the authentick products.

Really 2,3 eur less is worth hassle ??

Forgot to mention when I asked the vendor about it I got this response today, fair play to them offering to take it back right away.
"It is the same product, same factory, different branding. Ovale have shares in Joyetech company who owns Eleaf company.
If you are not happy for any reason then please send it back and we do a return for you."
