    Hey all,

Just a couple of questions on star Anise...

If a recipe says use "1 Star Anise" does it mean one pod, or one segment

Secondly do you have to remove the seeds from the pod or just leave as is...

    Cheers

One pod, as is. No need to remove seeds or anything, just remember to fish it out before serving.

It's one whole pod, nothing removed from it

    Just one star anise.

Tip, dry fry it for a minute to release the flavour then add it to your recipe.
