Guest bedroom x 2 Decorating advice

    Hi,

I have two guest bedrooms in my house.

They are painted & are ready for decoration.

The walls are off whitey / browny colour (got the colour made up - not what I wanted!) and the carpets are an ivory colour & the doors & skirting boards are white.

I'm getting white furniture & the bedding is white but I'm stuck on what to do about accessioning & colouring to pep it up.

What colours are popular & interesting enough for a guest bedroom? The colouring will be in the curtains, blinds & accessories.

My own bedroom is a heather colour, the hall is grey, kitchen is ivory & sage, master bathroom yellow if that helps?

    Any advise greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Niamh

Seems that you like colour, so that's good! No mention of blue, so perhaps teal or duck egg or royal blue for one room? Teal is particularly nice with cream/brown I think.

Then what about orange based? Copper or terracotta hued accessories? Again would work well with the neutral colour scheme you've established.

Hard to advise you but your palette sounds like you prefer delicate enough shades so lime or electric pink a no no I'd say!
