    Hello!

We are going to be sending out save the dates for our wedding but we are unsure as to which types of cards to use or even where to look? Has anybody sent these out and can offer me some advice?

I was contemplating whether to send out magnets with our dates, A5 size cards with fancy writing or a small cards that fit in wallets like a credit card....? Help!!!

    Thanks in advance

They can be anything ye want them to be...

We sent ones out just an A5 card one sided.
We found a cute picture that had kids on it that looked like us as kids. And text saying "he asked she said yes". The date and venue on it.

Then on the back we just wrote a message to that person...

I love the magnets, you get great deals on vistaprint, a friend of ours had their invites done this way and it was fab as they are out of the way and nifty to look at really.

Business card is a great idea too might be a little small though... But there are no rules as fas as I am aware of what you can and cannot do. Just remember who you sent them to and make sure they are on the full invite list haha

We sent electronic ones using www.paperlesspost.com

It's handy because A) there's tons of designs, and B) it has a facility for guests to reply with their addresses, so it saves you the hassle of collecting them all.

Are you getting married nearby? We got married in France and bought postcards from the local village, then had a little stamp made with our wedding website address, and the date, and send them out as Save the Dates.

You could buy postcards from whatever the closest village is and google Save the Date stamp, we bought ours from Not On The Highstreet website or you can get them from Etsy, it cost about €40 for the stamp and the postcards were 70c each.

We used Vistaprint magnets, surprisingly good quality and the designs are really cute, everyone loves them! We are on everyone's fridge when we go to visit!
