Spa hotel in Ireland with triple rooms

Hi all, I am looking to book a night away for myself and two sisters for two significant birthdays. Location wise, we are pretty open, but with two coming from North and one coming from the South, somewhere in the middle would be ideal! The main purpose of the trip is rest and relaxation so a nice spa is a must. However to keep costs down, we were hoping to get a triple room which most of the nice places don't seem to do.

Any suggestions of a nice hotel with good spa and dining options that has triple rooms? Thanks in advance.

Have you checked Farnham Estate in Cavan?
They may have triple rooms.... location would be v handy if coming from N and S!

Summerhill House Hotel do great spa deals with accommodation and dinner and even afternoon tea - and yes they have triple rooms.

Seafield hotel in Gorey definitely have triple rooms. Might depend on where up north you are as to whether location suits. Spa there is lovely.

+1 for this. Pretty sure you can get three in a room.
And added bonus, no kids allowed in pool!!

Monart have triple rooms. On the expensive side but the best spa in Europe so you get what you pay for. Adults only so you are guaranteed no screaming kids.

Powerscourt in Wicklow have triple rooms, (double and single bed) took my mam and aunt for her 60th. It's really really gorgeous. They do pretty good dine and stay deals too. It's worth phoning them to check rate as often the triple rooms don't show on the website.

+2 Went here on a groupon voucher but added another person, we were in a triple room. Had a lovely time, the spa and outdoor pool were excellent. Easy enough drive from Dublin.

Thanks for all the replies! We've been to Farnham before, it's actually very close to my sisters The pool area is amazing, the free access to the hydrotherapy suite is great. I wouldn't rate the rest of the hotel that highly, maybe we caught them on a bad day but out evening meal was poor and the service was terrible.

Didn't try Monart actually, might give them a buzz. Powers court is a bit out of our budget unfortunately. Seafield looks amazing, but it's booked for our date.

I've emailed a good few places, I think we've narrowed it down to Loughrea Hotel & Spa or Mount Wolseley. Price wise they are similar, but Loughrea has much cheaper spa treatments, but maybe not as nice an overall hotel as MW. reviews are good for both. Has anyone been to either?

Loughrea isn't great in my opinion. Didn't use the spa so cant comment on that but the hotel is a residential/industrial area - not very picturesque. Plus there is nothing to do in the town.

The bar and restaurant was nice but it was just very standard for a special occasion.

Thanks for the reply Xalot, that was my feeling about Loughrea, not as picturesque but a lot more bang for our buck. We're only going for one night, so we'll prob have lunch, then head to the spa then drinks and dinner, so I'm trying to weigh up whether the surroundings are important. Mount Wolseley looks lovely but the treatments are so expensive, I'm not sure we'd be able to afford to get anything done!

Do you know if Loughrea has a pool? I forgot to ask when pricing it and it's not jumping out at me on the website.

I don't think so, it was two years ago but I always use a pool and gym in a hotel so there must not have been one. From the website it looks like they have a lovely hydrotherapy area.

Not sure if u have made ur choice yet but the loughrea hotel has changed ownership in the last year and is now a fine spot. Spa is fab, treatments are good. Food is great, tasty, good portions, lgood price and nice staff. There is now a rooftop garden bar too with lovely cocktails and a lovely view if the lake. Highly recomend !

Thanks so much Belinda, we did book the Loughrea Hotel, the price was just too good to pass up and it will be nice that we can actually afford some treatments! It's a pity they don't have a pool, but we're only there for one night so we won't miss it that much. I can't even swim! I just bob around :D
