I had a look around on the boards and didn't see a thread about this and I can't find a solution from google.

I bought a new laptop recently and it came with Windows 8. I had calibre to convert files so I could put them on my kindle. When I try to download calibre it takes about 10 minutes and just before it fully downloads it says it has some error. Can anyone give me a simple way to fix this problem or another converter programme that does not have a limit?

Any help would be appreciated. I am going a bit crazy with no books!
