UPC Horizon Box boot up times

Has anyone experience a delay in the boot up times for the Horizon box. It takes just under a minute to boot up. First there is the welcome screen and then its the 'please wait' before eventually coming on

Was on the talk to UPC and got no real response other than we are looking into it. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue?

    Cheers

Look at your settings in the menu for standby power usage. You probably have it set to eco which means the box uses less power on standby but takes an age to boot

If you're using the Horizon box for broadband then you need to keep the 'power on standby' setting to high which means it starts up in no time.

You can't have it both ways, if the box is effectively switched off when not in use then it's going to take time to boot up. It has to read a whole heap of s/w off the hard drive which takes time.
