    Hi, all
For some unknown reason we are having a problem with Digiweb
If you put index.php after bunratty chess . com it should be OK but I am working on it.

Having read through the site, I haven't been able to determine if it's Fide rated or not.

    Is it?

It's not FIDE rated - The masters, challengers, major and minor sections aren't. They have 3 rounds on Saturday which is against FIDE regulations.

If they run the Bunratty classic, that will be FIDE rated.

3 rounds is not against FIDE rating regulations. Time control in the masters is too fast though to have it rated.

If all participants in a section are under 2200 rated, fide rated games can be as short as 90 minutes (no increments)time given to each player which combined with max 12 hours a day playing chess allowed by fide, you could actually have 4 fide rated games in one day !....and ....... if all participants are under 1600 in a section , fide rated games can be as short of 60 minutes time for each player which makes playing 6 fide rated games in one day technically possible !.

It's been deleted for calling various people liars and frauds with no particular substantiation.

Not permitted on boards (sitewide; not just the chess forum)

Some nasty trolls out there. Funny this post was about the pathway link to the Bunrattychess website it's seems to have gone off in a totally different tangent.

On that note actually, www.BunrattyChess.com is back up and running (which I assume was the url you were checking?)

    Hi, all

We are moving our web site from DigiWeb to HostPapa.

This may cause some issues so bear with us over the next week or so.

    Ted.
