My Garmin premium heart strap has been on the blink the past while. Changed battery and washed the actual strap but still gives erratic readings so looking for a strap that I can snap the actual unit onto or maybe a compete new strap plus unit.

Had the exact same problem. Just bought a Polar strap and connected the Garmin transmitter to it. However, you have to trim the rubber mounts to get it to fit (nearly panicked when I opened the new strap cause it wouldn't fit until I modified it.).

are you sure that its not just static from your jersey thats causing the erratic readings, this happens mine, not much you can do about it besides get sweaty and stop the static, or wear a tight base layer, that seems to help sometimes
