Honda Accord tyre size

    Hi,
Purchased a 2008 Honda Accord a few months ago (03-08 model) and there are 225/40 18 tyres on it. I think it comes as standard with 205/55 16. I'll need to change tyres on it soon but am wondering if I can go with 225/45 18 instead to give an extra bit of rubber between the road and the alloy.
    Anyone thoughts?

If there is enough room between the tyre and wheel arch then why not. If you brought it to a tyre shop they'd be able to tell you if the tyres will rub.

I would say those bigger tyres would also be a bit cheaper to buy too.
