    To the layman it's hard not to believe that most politicians are completely retarded. They are asking the banks for feedback on this!!! That's like asking a compulsive gambler if they feel they should be allowed in a casino with their families life savings.

    That said, I would like to think that this time there are protective measures to prevent what happened in 07-08 being repeated!

    So long as it's only on high quality securitised debt and there are systems in place to prevent predatory lending, I don't see the major issue.
