    Hi folks

Looking for some sage advice and opinions on my next motor.

Looking to spend in and around 4000 euro on something between a 1.2 and 1.4.

Have been looking at some of the 1.4 corollas, 1.2 polos and ibizas and a couple of 1.4 focus.

Any thoughts on these? Any major issues with them or things to look out for? Or even any other suggestions.

Doesnt need to be the most exciting car, just looking for reliability and something that will last me a few years.

    Cheers!

Out of those I'd have the Corolla.

Yeah seems the logical choice really. Anything to watch out for?

I bought a 2003 Corolla 1.4 three weeks ago.. Have clocked up just over 1,000 miles in it so far and have done a wide range of driving (motorway, city, rural etc) and I love it. No problems to report back with it yet! It is very comfortable to drive and isnt too bad on fuel. :)

Make sure there is no whining noise or clunky change from the gearbox, on that generation of Corolla the gearbox bearings were often a weak point. Other than that they are solid.
