Vodafone broadband contract

I signed up for Vodafone broadband last year on the informed information from the representative that it was fibre optic broadband with speeds of up to 80-90 mb. I would not be big into technology so was sure what all this meant but was told it was very fast. When we received it it was fast enough in comparison to the dongle we had previously.
I remember once or twice thinking this should be faster when watching sky go app as it use to pause a bit but I passed no remarks as I only occasionally used it, I meanly just browse on Facebook etc.
over time the Internet has got slower and regularly flashed on the modem to the point I had to ring vodafone to complain.
this is were it gets interesting. While on the phone to Vodafone I am told that my speed is only 1mb and that the modem that was installed was only fit for that speed. I was then put through to a different service to upgrade to fibre optic. While on the phone here I explained that it was my believe that we had fibre optic with speeds up to 70- 80mb and when she looked up my details this was confirmed.
my question is should I be refunded money for this as I was not provided with what I paid for. The lady said there is no difference in the price for the change.
What do people think I should do?
    thanks in advance

You won't get anything back. You had no line id wager when you used the dongle, so they provide you with phone and ADSL broadband to setup a new line, then you must order the fibre upgrade. You were getting the servive you were paying for, just not the ideal one for your location.

Yes but the deal was free installation of modem with fibre optic broadband of between 70-80mb that was in the area.

You can try but as was already said, you pay the same price if you get 1mb or 100mb.
