Howdy, does anybody know approx when I should expect to see this become available for June - August?

Also if the IAG takeover where to happen should we expect to see more routes to spain from Vueling ex - Dub and Cork for next year?

Most airlines publish their summer schedule approx the previous Sep/Oct.

No idea on Vueling expansion. Might see a bit of co-ordination with EI perhaps.

Isn't Vueling a low cost carrier? Does this sort of operation usually combine with other airlines?

Well I suppose they're low-cost compared to parent Iberia, but their cost-base is thought to be around the same as Easyjet et al. So pretty much middle-tier these days.

By co-ordinate I meant perhaps adjusting their schedule so they do not directly compete with each other. ie have a morning flight while Vueling have an evening flight. IAG thus covers the market with each carrier putting minimal capacity on the route.

Just because IAG has bought EI why does everyone seem to think that Vueling is going to expand into Ireland?

It's a big player which is expanding. Hubs across Europe, their biggest hole is in Ireland by the looks of it.

They will be crossing into EI terroritry, dos'nt make sense to me if you are part of a group.

    Also, it's Ryanair, not RyanAir.

I'd say everyone will figure out EI is a cut above Vueling once they notice there's 2 extra rows crammed into the A320.

I don't see anything major in Ireland with them, they won't attract EI type passengers.

Anybody know if Ryanair will be continuing to fly to Copenhagen from DUB now with the close of their base?

They're doing well at Belfast City, quickly went from two to three weekly and loads seem to be good*

They had a bit of a caning at the start when their media-launch inaugural flight was late but seem to have stabilised now.

There's not a lot between any of the airlines any more. Lots of Belfast folk have to put-up with those wretched ex-Iberia A319s of Aer Lingus, so what difference is an ex-Iberia A320?

    * yes I know we can't base revenue on loads, but still...

The BHD schedule was always planned like that.

On another look assuming a Tu, Th, Su schedule in June they achieved a 33% or 41% LF on A319 or 320 (180 not 186 seats) respectively. Not doing so well.....

Depends how you define 'well'. For a service that started commercially on 7th May, there will be a ramp-up.

They only went thrice-weekly from 23 June, so you'll need to adjust your estimates.

    They've only used an A319 once ( EC-MGF if you're interested ).

    ¬¬

Anyway, the question was whether Aer Lingus 'type' passengers would use Vueling. I can't see much differentiation between them these days, so why wouldn't they?

So you choose to be incorrect?

For the record RyanAir is infact an American company, so that may actually change the whole thread.

Can we please leave the pedantry and niggling out of this thread and the forum in general. It's getting very frustrating lately watching people niggling away at each other and making mountains out of mole hills.

It's obvious who the OP was talking about, there was no need to make an issue out of it. Likewise, the smart reply by the OP about not caring is not helpful either. It's not a contest, no one gets points for pointing out errors etc.

Edit:And just to make my point the OP goes and posts the above:(

So why do people think Vueling are going to come into the Irish market because of the takeover by IAG?
