Stain on ceiling

Have a stain on ceiling, it is where there was a chimney and we removed it. Sealed up the roof, new plasterboard to patch the ceiling and skimmed. There is no leaks in the roof, it's a flat roof and patched perfect. Any idea on how to remove the staining and stop it coming back?

Paint it 1st with 2/3 coats of "stainblock" paint or similar & re-paint whole ceiling then should sort you out.

you will prob have to do the ceiling twice to blend it in.
