Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well, I wasn't ready for the fall, far too blind (drunk) to see the writing on the wall.

Who wants to hear my tale and who wants to know what my favourite song is?

My favourite song as in the most poignant song that popped up at important crossroads in my life. Not my most favourite song ever, as you know yourself Enda, that changes with an Irish July.:p

I read the thread title as 'I have a tail to sell'.

Nothing you can tell me now is going to be as interesting as I thought it was going to be. :(

Ah Candie, at the risk of disintersting you I will divulge my tale.:)

Three times in my life that changed the path of my existence forever a particular song has been playing in the background. When I got the news that my mother had died suddenly, when my them girlfriend's brother committed suicide, and at the removal of my then boss whose anecdotes I have shared here over the years. I'm not one for superstitious bollocks but it has always been a pretty apt song at the same time.

Anyhoo, here it is, and to further the discussion, has anyone had any similar experiences?

I haven't had the same experience as yourself oh man of backwardsness but there are songs that I always turn to in times of high emotion.

I dont know if you would call it a song more of a hymn.

Lord of the dance The first time I ever heard it was when my brother was killed in a car accident over 30 years ago. I remember english children being around the house at the time and singing it

Shows you the sense we had at the time but it always sticks out in my mind
