    Hi,

I'm about to buy a used car. How can make myself sure that transfer of property is sealed after I paid him (as I'm gonna pay cash,I want to be sure the seller can't claim back the car after the payment)? Should the seller give me a receipt (of the payment) or a document that indicates that the car is mine? if yes, will he give it to me the same day I pay the car?

Sorry fr the noob question but it's the first time I buy a car

    Thank you

Paying by draft is a good idea.
As for the change of ownership, make sure the sellers name is on the registration cert, fill it out, and post it together if possible.

He could issue a receipt or perhaps if they agree to let you record video on your phone that they are happy to sell it to you and have accepted payment.
