Tyre Review - Nokian Line

ok, had a few weeks to try out the new tyres...

Splashed out on a full set of Nokian Line 215/45/17 tyres recently. The set I was running had one fail the NCT and I wasnt going to get through the winter on them so bit the bullet and went a got all 4

Due to the changeable weather we have been having aswell recently I have been able to run them in all sorts of condittions apart from ice & snow, but I am very impressed.

Extremely quiet, very good wet grip, extremely good in dry, cornering is stable aswell. My drive each day consists of twisty B roads between Kill & Straffan and this road has patches than can catch you out, but so far they have given me a lot more confidence.

To date since I got the car in 2009 which came with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's, then I went to Falken FK452 all round, then Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics and now the Nokian.

I would have to rate them as follows

    1. Nokian
    2. Bridgestone
    3. Goodyear
    4. Falken

I found the Bridgestone grip on a par as the Nokians but I think they wore down very quickly so it remains to be seen what the Nokians wear like. Its not a complaint on the Bridgestone but it was a lot shorter than expected.

Both the Goodyears & Falken did not inspire me at all with confidence in the wet, particularly on the twisty roads. Goodyears lasted a little longer, maybe 4,000km which puts them slightly ahead of the Falkens.

But just to post about my satisfaction with Nokians and also the service from Eiretyres. Cost me €95 per corner and then €15 per corner to fit, balance & dispose.

Great to know, I have been a Nokian fan for the last few years, Interested to hear your thoughts on tyre wear.
I ahve been thinking about the new Weatherproof Nokians for the next set.
