Fixing usb port S note 2

How much should I be looking too pay too fix the usb on a note 2?

Bear in mind I'm in the UK and I have the choice of ten repair shops within a few miles.

Is it only for charging then? No data transfer?

If that's the case why not go down the wireless charging route?
