    Hi all,

Having a really frustrating issue with certain channels not tuning. One of them is TVP 1 HD which I need to activate my card. I get 90+% signal on other channels including TVP 2 HD. Scan gets me about 1800 channels on hotbird

My setup is a vu + ultimo, palm sg2100 motor, 1.2m triax, best 0.1db lnb

    I have tried the following
    Used different tuner
    Checked alignment of dish
Recut all cable joins at the motor, lnb etc
    Replaced internal cabling
Bang my head repeatedly off the wall :p

    Nothing works. Any ideas?

    A really strange one.

Are you sure another channel won't update your card? Tvn HD?

Have you tried adding the channels via a ready made bouquet?

So are you getting nothing from that transponder 11449H DVB S-2, 8PSK, 27500 3/4

No: Canal+Discovery HD, Investigation Discovery Europe HD, Discovery Turbo Xtra HD, MGM HD, Discovery HD, N Sport+ HD, Romance TV HD??

Have you swapped LNB'S (Used another LNB)?

Sounds like a corrupt entry in the channel list.

    That channel is on 11449 H DVB-S2 S/R 27500 3/4 8SPK

Manually re-scan that Mux Frequency again in the service searching menu.

You may have 2 of them then under 13E, so delete the one thats not working.

    Hi all,

I connected directly the lnb and the channel returned, I then worked my way back till I found the section that was causing issues. I have a 20m section with two hydradare ducts with 4 coax cables in each. Amazingly every underground cable has the same issue.

Strange that only specific frequencies are dropping though! Can't think of a mechanism for the issue.

Water in the duct perhaps? Even that shouldn't cause issues with shielded Cable, should it?

I activated the card with the over ground cable so I have some time to fix this.

Did try the above too lads, thanks for the replies.

Have you seen issues like that snaps? Wonder if it's **** cable? Water shouldn't cause issues like that should it? If the cable was leaking you'd imagine all channels would have issues?

I have seen dodgy cable cause similar problems, but usually a whole bunch of transponders or a certain band will be affected.

I've had problems with an LNB not picking up specific channels too.

Water in cables could make your signal intermittent.

On the other hand the length of your cable run could also cause issues. Have you turned on the option of increased voltage in the options for that connection ? Would be recommended for cable runs longer than 20m.

Hi snaps, yeah, not intermittent issues though, just certain frequencies.

I am running increased voltage. I'll chance replacing one of the runs to see if that sorts it!
