Bike rack for SMax

I am looking to get a bike rack for an s-max, predominantly for 3 kids bikes at present but will carry bigger bikes as they grow older. I was going to get bike holders to attach to roof rack but given the noise the bars already made and the height of the car which would make it difficult for my wife to load/unload bikes, I was thinking about getting the carrier that fits to the back door instead (I have no drawbar at present). Has anyone fitted one of these lads to an s-max or equivalent and have any comments/suggestions, e.g. is a light board required - do they damage the paintwork? Thanks

I got one of these a few yrs ago
    http://www.hollywoodracks.com/trunk-racks/express-trunk-rack.htm

Worked well on my wifes Verso, took 2 kids bikes and one adult comfortably. Only issue is it wont work on mine due to the roof spoiler over the rear door of the estate

They are a solid rack and very well made

Thanks. There is a limited spoiler on the top of the smax rear door but I'm not sure if it means the type of rack in your link would suit. By the way did you need a light board when bikes were loaded
