Anyone can tell me if I just need to regrease the freehub or is something about to break ? At the beginning I'm applying very little force and something in the freehub is giving a good amount resistance.

I would say either the pawls are bone dry or one of them has become dislodged/broken. Pull the freehub and clean and degrease them and then apply a small amount of lube/oil to them and reassemble.

I really hope nothing is broken as new freehub body is €100 on CRC....

Thanks will have a look at it this week as I didn't have chain whip at hand today so couldn't take the cassette off. And will let you know, how much you want for it ?

Not sure grease is a good thing to put in a freehub. Maybe some very light lubricant instead.

    No one suggested using grease.

Thanks to the kindness of mr. Borderfox I got the wheel with the freehub which I intend to remove in coming days. I was told by my benefactor that someone else here is looking for hub or in fact the rest of the wheel which I will be happy to pass on once I have the fh body taken off. So please either PM or just post here - who needs it so we can arrange the collection. Thanks and even bigger thanks to Borderfox.

Anyone know of a cheap replacement for the zonda freehub? Cheaper then chain reaction anyway!

I bought one on eBay from
Taiwan/China. It was €45 posted but is 10spd only. Bike24 were the next cheapest at €69 I think.

    Cool. Thanks for that.

I got about 9000kms out of the origional free hub so cant complain to much about replacing it.
