2007 Ford Focus-Wipers Start by Themselves

So, middle of the night, last night, my wipers came on all by themselves. Only way to stop them was to turn on the engine and when I turned it off, they started again. Ended up having to disconnect the battery to keep them off. Any thoughts or fixes appreciated.

Check for water ingress signs or corrosion in the connections on the fusebox under the glovebox.
