i cannot send mms on nokia lumia 520 payg meteor. i enabled mobile +sim and still won't work. i do not have data pack as i do not send photos. But need to send one now.

when i had this phone first i was able to get a 99cent day pass and it cost 99cent plus the text to send a photo

.02 told me before i would get send mms on my ordinary credit and not need data credit

Should i be able to use my own wi fi to send it. i have eircom fiber to the cabinet and my phone is on the network. should i be able to send photos over that connection?

    According to the official documentation...
When your mobile data connection is turned off, you won't be able to send or receive MMS messages, which are text messages that have pictures or other files attached.

I'm curious, in 2015, why would you want to send an MMS? it's a very expensive way to send anything. Email or one of many chat apps (Whatapps, Viber, etc), which work fine over wifi, would be better.

The MMS settings for Meteor are here... http://support.meteor.ie/article/send-or-receive-mms

For a guide of how to enter those settings into a Windows Phone, use this... http://deviceguides.vodafone.ie/web/nokia-lumia-625/explore/internet/set-up-your-phone-for-internet/ (just substitute in the Meteor settings instead of Vodafones)

You need to have a data package in your bundle to use data and send MMS full stop..

when i had it first i was able to send pictures by getting a daily data for 99cent. i tink that was by turning on mobile+sim. ? i think it was on and it took some of my credit as i did not know it was on?

i found an old tesco chip and put in an old phone how do i find the number of it

On your device drag the screen down, settings these vary depending on what version of software you are on..

If you left data on it probably did use it up,to note if using data ensure Wi-Fi is turned off..
The best way to find number on your sim is ring another phone or if your device has a MY Number option in contacts..

You cant send or receive MMS with Wi-Fi some people are inclined to think you can and as mentioned above already the is no need to use MMS as operators charge for it and there is multiple free messaging apps which do not incur a charge to send photos....

Weird, I know that I've entered the details before. Maybe that's the APN I was thinking of.

I've also gotten it to work more reliably when not having anything at all in the APN settings, so I'm not sure if that's even relevant! :)

i was able to do it when i got it first but it was 99 cent plus the text so i turned it off and may have removed the settings

I don't think I ever got it to work on WP, But in my experience the problem is MMS from one network, or one phone type to another don't always work on another type of mobile, or network.

Also my phone though unlocked has some feature blocked due to my phone plan, (sim settings). MMS might be one of them.

Do they have email they can access from a computer?

MMS even when it was in use was very unreliable.
