Organising DOE

My van has been off the road for over a year and declared as such. It has not been taxed. It is due for a DOE and I have just had it serviced.

In order to tax it I need to get the van to the DOE centre. But I can't drive it on the road because it is not taxed and could be seized if I am stopped by a Garda during trip to DOE centre because it hasn't been taxed in so long and is declared off the road.

How can I bring it to DOE under these rules?

Only my opinion, but if you had it insured and had a printout on headed paper from the test centre of your appointment with you I would imagine you would be ok unless you met an extremely contrary garda.
