Hi I am getting married in SEptember and my mother cannot get an outfit. She needs a logo length outfit, not trousers as she has psoriasis on her legs. Does anyone know where she could get anything. Every shop she tries has all short dresses.

Whereabouts in the country are you located? My mum got her mother-of-the-bride outfit in LK Bennett and it was lovely. She's also gotten some nice dresses in House of Fraser in Dundrum.

There's a few lovely boutiques in Kilkenny.

I have psoriasis too and recently bought Dermalex in boots, seems to be working. My father has it more severe than I would and he is getting good results too.

I was in Naas last weekend, and down the hospital end of the Main Street, near the court house, there is a shop that does mother of the bride outfits and wedding outfits having a massive sale.

They'd a couple of outfits down from €1000 to €100, it's not a massive trek and might be work a Saturday?

They'd loads of full length outfits, can't for the life of me remember the name, maybe evita?

BINGO! Did a google, and here they are

There aren't many long outfits there, but instore they had a few, even in the window, and that's not on the site that I can see.

I was just going to say that I heard Nicola Ross in Naas was meant to have nice MoB stuff too. Handy if you are hitting the other place mentioned above.

There's a few places in Naas - my mother got hers for brother's wedding there ( we have not yet discussed her plans for mine!)

There's also a new shop in Cork called Phoenix where they told us they'd take a design and adjust it e.g. add sleeves http://phoenixv.ie/collections/

Thanks everyone! I will get my mother to go up to Naas and try those shops! if that doesn't work will try the Cork shop! Hopefully she will get something!

I'm third generation with psoriasis. If your mum can remove the scaly skin, leaving just the red patches, a specialised cream like Dermablend can be used anywhere on the body to disguise the red. If she attends SVUH dermatology, there's a nurse-specialist with expertise who can help show her what to do. That would increase her options.

Asos is worth a look. Also dundrum has a great selection, especially house of Fraser.
