    Hi all

I was away on holidays for the last 2.5 weeks and arrived back to see that there was a dent in my car even though my car had not been used in that time.

I live in an apartment complex and the wheelie bins being collected or returned (or people putting rubbish bags in the bins) are the only traffic to pass by where the dent occurred. However, the damage on the bins could not have occurred with the use of a bag. There is no CCTV in the area to identify who caused the damage.

Do you think I have anywhere to stand on this or am I wasting my time chasing this up?

It could be a bike or ladder many things.

I would say unless you have a witness there would be very little chance of getting anywhere.

Its a crap thing to do to ones car but my god there are some amount of thicks and ignorant fools out there.

Maybe its time to invest in a motion sensor dash cam

Probably, a waste of time unless the bin lorry had CCTV that might have captured it. Double doubtful methinks !

Evidence equally consistent with a suspicion / allegation does not discharge the onus of proof.
